Fun in the rain

Zuko looked up from the trade document he was reading, he looked out his offices window and saw the rain clouds forming. It would rain soon. He though of Katara as soon as he thought of rain. He missed his girlfriend. She was somewhere in the Fire Nation Palace. He hadn't been out of his office for at least five days.the councilmen were killing him with all of this paperwork.

he knew most of it was there work that they were dumping on him. He only put up with it because he wanted to see over everything before he gives things for the councilmen to do. 

His thought drifted to Katara again. He wanted to see her. He left his office for the first time in days to go find her. He knew were she probably was. She loved his library. She loved reading anything about the fire nation.

So he went there to find her in the library. Once he got there he started to look around for her. The library was huge so it took him a few minutes to find her.

He found her sitting on a window seat with a scroll of past Fire Nation Fire Lords and there greatest accomplishments during there rule. She was lost in her reading. He could tell because she had one finger pressed up against her mouth with her eyebrows creased. 

He quietly snuck up behind her and covered her eyes. "Guess who." He said right next to her ear with a low husky voice. He felt her shiver a bit then giggle.

"hmmmn.... Maybe it's that guard who has been eyeing me... But if it is my boyfriend can't know." She giggled again. 

"Oh I wouldn't think of telling him." He said with a chuckle. He removed his hand from her eyes and leaned down to kiss her cheek then her mouth. A sweet kiss turned into a passionate one with him sitting down on the seat and her straddling his lap.

they charged a few more passionate kisses before they stopped for air.

"mmmm.... What brought this on?" She asked with a giggle. "I'm not complaining though." She said with another kiss.

"I missed my girlfriend." He said while giving her another passionate kiss.

they shared a few more kisses before stopping to breathe

"Zuko," she said with her stern voice as she put her fists on her hip. She tried to look serious but it was hard to do with her on his lap. "You have lost a lot of wait." She said with a frown.

"I know, I need a break." said with a sigh. She gave him a look of surprise

"want to go out for a night on the town tonight?" He asked while giving her another kiss.

"sure." She said while returning the kiss. "I would love too."

he he stood up and brought her with him. "Let's go." 

"Now?" She asked staring at him like he was crazy. "Who are you and what have you down with my Zuko?" She asked with a giggle. 

"What? I was feeling spontaneous." 

"I can see that." She said with a giggle. "Ok. Let's go."

soon they were in town walking the streets. Zuko was carrying a umbrella. It started to rain and he opened it up and held it over them.

"Awwwww is the Fire Lord afraid of rain?" Katara said teasingly. 

"No, I just don't want to get wet or sick." He said with a smile. 

"Oh come on. Come play in the rain with me." She said stepping out of under the umbrella. "It's fun." 

"I'm not interested.' He said as he watched her twirl in the rain. 

She looked back at him and ran to him. She practically tackled him with a kiss. He kissed her back. But then she pulled away from him and snatched the umbrella from his grip and broke it. 

"Katara." He groaned. She ran away from him as he started to chase her. 

That day they just played in the rain like the were little kids. It felt good to let loose. He should do it more often. 

Once they got back to the Fire Palace he got a lot of disapproving looks from the council men when they saw there Fire Lord and his girlfriend walking into the Palace looking like soaked ratbats.but he didn't care he had fun and that is all that matters.

three days later Katara was in my bed with me. We both were sick. The nurses said we got the flu from being in the rain.

"I told you we would get sick." He said with a cough.

"oh come on." Katara paused to cough. She leaned over to him and kissed him. "We had fun though." She said with a smile.
