Movie Night (Zutara)

it was finally Friday night. Katara and I had set it up so every Friday night we either go over to her house or mine and have a movie night.

last week it was Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix. Tonight it is going to be the first Hobbit move.

i love the Hobbit movies so this will be fun. But some how Katara hasn't even seen any of the movies or any of The Lord Of The Rings movies. 

I was going to fix that.

i finally got off of work and drove to Katara's house. I pulled out my key and unlocked the door and went in. I sat down the movie on her end table next to the couch. I heard her in the kitchen so I snuck in. 

She had the radio on and was singing to Battle Scars by Guy Sebastian and Lupe Fiasco. 

"I wish you the best, the best I ever had." Katara slowly sang along with the song.

i slowly snuck up behind her as she started doing the dishes. She is still singing when I sneak up being her.

"you hope the wound heals but it never does." I wrap my arms around her and she lets out a squeak as she elbows me in the cheek. "Holy crap, Zuko you should know better." Katara said as she ran over to the freezer and handed me a ice pack for my cheek.

"well I was trying to be romantic." I said with a quiet chuckle. 

Katara let let out a little giggle. "I believe that was a fail though." She said as she walked closer to me. "I'm bout to put in the popcorn." She said as she gave me a quick kiss. 

I stole a few more kisses before she took a few steps away and grabbed the popcorn.

"I brought the movie." I told her as she put the popcorn in her white microwave.

"ok." She said as she tossed me a smile over her shoulder. "I hope it is as good as you say it is."

I smiled at her. "Believe me, you will love it." 

Once the the popcorn was cooked and thrown into a big bowl we moved into her living room. I threw in the movie then laid down on the couch with my feet stretch out and Katara sat inbetween my legs leaning against my chest. I pressed play on her remote.

the beginning of the movie started to play.

when the Dwarves started to sing lonely mountain Katara looked up at me and said "I really like this song."

She seemed to be enjoying the movie. She gave out a squeak or two when Bilbo was talking to Gullom and Gullom would just pop up.

by the end of the movie we were wrapped in a blanket and were happy to just lay there. 

"Let's put in the next one." Katara said with a smile.

We watched the next one. It ended about 1am. We were really tired so as soon as it ended we fell asleep on the couch.

i woke up to the smell of Coffe and a sore back. I groaned a bit as I got off the couch.

katara must have heard me because she walked in with two cups of Coffe and handed one to me with a kiss.

"morning." She said with a smile.

"morning." I said as I took a sip of the Coffe.

"I enjoyed the movies." She said as she sat down on the couch.

"I'm glad." I said as I sat down and pulled her to my chest.

she turned on the news. We just sat there in comfortable silence as we watched the news. 

Once the morning news were off we changed it to blade. That day we watched the whole Blade Trilogy. 

We just enjoyed being with each other.
